Mabel B. Peterson

Mabel B. Peterson passed away on April 16, 2008 in Salt Lake City.She was born in Woods Cross, Utah on Jan 9, 1916 to John Perry Benson, Jr. and Mabel Page. She married George Theodore Peterson on Oct. 1, 1934. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Dec. 28, 1956. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the South Salt Lake Lady Lions. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Renee (George) Perschon, George (Jean) Peterson, John (Shannon) Peterson, Stephen (Mary Alice) Peterson and Sherry (Alan) Blunt, 26 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Horner and a sister-in-law, Ruth Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, a still born daughter, a grandson and two great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brookshire Ward located at 3487 So. 1300 E., Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may visit at the ward Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in the Bountiful City Cemetery. Funeral Directors Larkin Mortuary.
