Donna Joy Kirk

Donna Joy Kirk passed away at her home on April 19, 2008.
Donna was born July 18, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is the daughter of Laura A. Peterson and William Philip Kirk. She attended Sumner Grade School, Roosevelt Jr. High and East High School. After high school she took a course in drafting. She was employed as a draftsman at Camp Kearns, Utah, during World War II. After the war, she went to work at Utah State Highway Engineering Department where she was a design engineer for 20 years.
She was a gifted seamstress. She was very involved with her family and she had a Christmas party at her home that will long be remembered by her family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill. She is survived by Bill's wife, Elva, brother, Clive (Norine), brother, Vance (Beverly); seven
nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., Salt Lake City, on Thurs., April 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. Viewing from 10-11 prior to services at the mortuary. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery.
