SHARE Liaison to inform on naturalization test

An immigration official will be on hand at a public meeting on Wednesday to answer questions about the new naturalization test.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at Horizonte Instruction and Training Center, 1234 S. Main St.

A community liaison from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will answer questions about the new test, which citizenship applicants will start taking on Oct. 1.

The naturalization test has been redesigned to to ensure consistency nationwide and to more effectively assess applicants' understanding of U.S. government and history, according to CIS.

The forum is sponsored by Catholic Community Services, Holy Cross Ministries, the International Rescue Committee and the Multicultural Legal Center.
