Today is the time I expect I will be drafted in the third round. I'm going to get up at 8 a.m., when it starts, and see what happens. I believe I've done all I could have done to prepare myself for this, and I'm anxious to see the results.
I tried to improve my stock as much as I could, knowing you're fighting an uphill battle coming from a non-BCS conference, a mid-major conference where there are a lot of misconceptions. So I had to do my best.
I went to California for seven weeks and worked out twice a day, six days a week. I really got after it. I gained about 10 pounds. It really helped my strength, and I worked on getting faster. I showed my speed at the combine and really competed and came home for the pro day and did even better.
I've just been waiting around working out, waiting for today to get my number called. I think, if I'm taken where I think I'll be in the third round, I'll fly out today or Thursday, whenever they tell me and be ready to go.
I have a good agent, Michael Hoffman. I chose him after being contacted by about 15 and when I sat down and visited with him, I liked what he had to say. Many came out and gave their little pitch.
He has a good track record and he's been doing it for 15 years and he closed the sale. With the others, there were things I didn't feel good about some things. He paid for me to go to California and work out and isn't going to charge me for it. He's signed a lot of BYU guys like Todd Watkins, Kelly and Brady Poppinga and he represents USC coach Pete Carroll.
