Ethel Sorensen Bergeson
"Together Forever"
Ethel, age 98, passed away on April 24, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Ut.
She was born on September 14, 1909 in Smithfield, Utah to Zina Mather Sorensen and Hyrum Peter Sorensen. She married Eldred Clifford Bergeson on August 6, 1930 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She faithfully devoted herself to her family and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved record keeping, family history, and genealogy. She loved to sew for her family and to preserve the fruits of the garden. She supported her children and grand and great-grandchildren in every way.
She is survived by Haven and Carol Ann Bergeson, Paul and Marie Bergeson, and Sharon and Bradley Brown, 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eldred, her twin brothers, Golden and Gaylard, grandson, Kevin Bergeson, and great-granddaughter, Raquel Kreutz.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Wandamere Ward, 2700 South and 300 East. Viewings will be held Sunday, April 27, 2008 between 6-8:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and also one hour prior to services at the Church. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
The family thanks grandson, Scott, for his dedicated care for Ethel for nearly a decade and Claudia and the staff of Cozy Hospice.
