Byron Limb

Byron, our dearly loved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2008, surrounded by his family and loved ones.Byron was lucky enough to meet and marry the love of his life Elaine Walker and was married for 62 years. During their life together they raised five children, Sharon Hughes, Steven Limb (Melanee), Robbyn Dunn (Steve), Catherine Noyes (Dirk), Bryce Limb (Becky). They were blessed with 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed taking them fishing, camping and any kind of outdoor activities. He loved to travel and was an avid Jazz fan. He was a loving, thoughtful father and grandfather.

He had a love for flowers, especially roses. He would bring flowers every week to Elaine whether from his garden or the flower shop.

Byron was a wonderful kind and caring man. He was always there to help and give advice to anyone who needed anything. He volunteered at the VA hospital and gave over 100 pints of blood. He was a very strong example for his family and a role model for all who knew him.

He worked as a Counselor for the Salt Lake School District for over 30 years and took great joy in touching the lives of the students.

Byron was a World War II veteran serving as a tail gunner in a B17. He was a POW and escaped, taking other prisoners with him.
