OGDEN — Residents here woke up to find their car windows smashed out by unknown vandals.
Ogden police said windows were shattered on 25 cars from 12th Street to 7th Street and from Harrison Boulevard to the east-side city limits. Officers speculate it happened between 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday. The first cases were reported about 5 a.m.
"They either used an airsoft (pistol) or else a BB or pellet gun," Ogden Police Lt. Scott Conley said. "They shoot 'em out as they go by."
Several weeks ago, police busted six teenage girls they allege were smashing out car windows with baseball bats, pellet guns and rocks. Police were unsure if these latest window smashings are related.
