Zelda Lewis Muhlestein

Zelda Lewis Muhlestein, age 97 died April 2, 2008 in Brigham City, Utah, and can now be with her loving husband, Roy Muhlestein forever.Zelda was born March 13, 1911 in Woodland, Utah to William E Lewis and Pleasant Maud White. She was the seventh of twelve children. She grew up in Tabiona, Utah and attended school in Provo, Utah. She married the love of her life, Roy Casper Muhlestein, on June 20, 1935 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Roy and Zelda lived in Provo, Salem, Orem, Brigham City, and Ogden, Utah; and in Richland, Washington. They served as a family on a labor mission in Laie, Hawaii, 1955-1959.
Both were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings.
Zelda was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and son, Reed. She is survived by children, Wayne (Linda), Lakeside, Montana; Lewis (Leda), Richland, Washington; Glenn (Loree, deceased), Brigham City, Utah; Lynn (Linda), Elkins, West Virginia; Nyla (Emil, deceased) Jensen, Brigham City, Utah; and Allen (Pat), Sandy, Utah; 30 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Marcellas E Lewis, St George, and Dee W. Lewis, Phoenix, Arizona.
Services will be held Monday, April 7, 11 a.m. at Brigham City 15th Ward Chapel, 203 West 200 North, Brigham City, Utah. Visitations will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 6, and 9-10 a.m. Monday, April 7, at Meyers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery, Salem, Utah.
