Nu Skin Enterprises Inc., the distributor of nutritional supplements and personal-care products, said first-quarter profit climbed on increased sales in Asia.
Net income increased to $13.5 million, or 21 cents a share, from $10.5 million, or 16 cents, a year earlier. Revenue rose to $298.1 million, the Provo-based company said in a statement.
Annual revenue will be as much as $1.22 billion, with earnings per share of $1.17 to $1.22, Nu Skin said. The company previously projected sales of at most $1.2 billion, resulting in profit of $1.15 to $1.22 a share.
