Extra Space Storage Inc. reported funds from operations available to common shareholders of $17.9 million, or 25 cents per share, for the quarter ended March 31. That compares with funds from operations of $16.3 million, or 24 cents per share, for the same quarter in 2007.
The Salt Lake-based company on Monday said revenues totaled $65.7 million in the most recent quarter, up from $53.8 million a year earlier. Net income was $6.7 million, up from $6.5 million.
Extra Space Storage is the second-largest operator of self-storage facilities in the country. The real-estate investment trust owns and/or operates 654 self-storage properties in 22 states and Washington, D.C.
