LOGAN (AP) — Utah State is adding a former Minnesota prep star to its basketball team.

Stavon Williams averaged 15 points a game at San Jacinto College, a two-year school in Texas. He's a 6-foot-4 guard who will have two years of eligibility at Utah State.

Coach Stew Morrill says Williams' skills will stretch the defense. He made 43 percent of his 3-point shots last season.
