"Woody"

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Wilbur James Woodruff, passed away May 5, 2008 in Murray, Utah.

He was born Sept. 25, 1923 in Blue Bell, UT to George Thomas and Chloe Cook Woodruff. He married Margaret Bouck Dec. 29, 1942 in Salt Lake City; their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple.Woody was a member of the LDS Church where he served in many callings including on the High Council, as president of the seventies, and stake missionary. He retired from Kennecott Copper after 48 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife,

Margaret; children, Reid (Darlene), Patricia Petersen Lane, Steven (Kristy), and Terry (Robert) Lindsay; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Claudia Jean; granddaughter, Deborah Lindsay; great granddaughter, Kristy Sandoval; son-in-law, Glen Petersen; six siblings.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at the Western Hills Stake Center, 5380 W. 5400 S. Friends and family may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 S., Magna, and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
