Lynden Joseph "Joe" Cook passed away Friday, May 9, 2008.

Born Feb 20, 1926 in Corinne, UT. The only son of Julia Mary Nelson and Joseph Cook. Joe grew up in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a

radioman. Married LaVae Nichol June 16, 1955, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised two daughters and a son. Joe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He retired after 20 years at Tooele Army Depot. He loved sailing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Survived by his loving wife, son, Keith; daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Stark, Kaye Stone; sister, Maryon Meyer; 13 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter Jolyn and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tues. May 13, 2008, 11 a.m. Willow Canyon 5th Ward 1880 East 9800 South. A viewing will be held Mon. from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S.) and Tues 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
