Christie Syphers, daughter of John A. and Edith S. Syphers, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 31, 1955. She died at home while peacefully sleeping during the night. She graduated from Skyline High School and attended the University of Utah where she enjoyed the college experience and met many new friends.
Chris spent her working life cleaning buildings and residences, mostly for elderly clients. She administered to their daily needs on holidays and nights, dressing their wounds, taking them to the hospital and any other errands they might need done. Her legacy is one of caring and love.
She loved reading and music and, over the years, amassed an impressive collection of records and tapes.
Chris loved animals and raised dogs, cats and even a rabbit. She became very vocal if she saw or heard of anyone mistreating an animal. Her special love was for
Hannah, a mixed breed Golden Retriever and Cocker Spaniel.
Chris is survived by a host of friends, her parents, her brother, John, San Francisco, CA; her sister, Stephanie and very Special and much loved nephew, Aelric Kofoid Davis, CA.
A remembrance of her life will be held at a later date. If you wish, make contributions to the charity of your choice or in her name to the Humane Society of Utah. No Flowers please.
