Three people were injured, one critically, around 8 p.m. Friday after they fell from the second-story roof of a Magna home.
Unified Fire Authority spokesman Capt. Jay Fearnley said a woman in her 60s received head injuries, was airlifted from the scene in critical condition and arrived at University Hospital unconscious. Another victim, a man in his 40s, was also transferred by helicopter and taken to Intermountain Medical Center with a severe lower-leg fracture. The third person injured in the incident, a woman in her 40s, suffered two ankle fractures and also was transported by ambulance to Intermountain.
Fearnley said details were still hazy, but he believed that the three were working on a re-roofing project on the home when one person started to slide off the roof. When the other two attempted to help, all three ended up falling onto a concrete driveway in front of the house, located near 2500 South and 8000 West.
All three remained hospitalized late Friday.
