Albert Winsor

1935 ~ 2008

MONROE, UTAH- Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Albert Andrew Winsor, age 72, died May 11, 2008 at his home in Monroe, after a valiant battle with leukemia.

He was born December 28, 1935 in Springerville, Arizona, a son of William Perry and Maribah

Clarinda Woods Winsor. He graduated from Delta High School, Class of 1954. Albert married Margaret Fae Hepworth, September 1, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Albert was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in several Bishoprics. He and his wife, Fae, served a mission in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission from 2003 to 2004.

He served on the planning and zoning Board of Adjustments in Monroe; was a City Councilman in Springdale, Utah. He was a volunteer fireman and worked on the ambulance in Nephi, Delta and Springdale, Utah.

Albert enjoyed collecting model cars and trains, gardening, scouting and his many, many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of Monroe; his children: Shelley and Alan Prisbrey of Monroe; Sheila and Joe Cobbley of Springville; Peri and Russell Edwards of St. George;

Leslie and Allen Bowles of Enoch;

Richard and Paula Winsor of Payette, Idaho; Jamey and Grant Larson of Salt Lake City; Roanne and Galo Ramirez of Hyde Park; Paula Winsor of Twin Falls, Idaho; 36 grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children; three sisters: Phyllis and Fred Stewart of St. George; Clara Beth and Norman Welch of Watsonville, CA; Maribah Ann and Leo Stevenson of Kalamazoo, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Winsor.

Funeral services will be held Wed., May 14, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 140 South Main Street in Monroe, Utah. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 N. 400 W., in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. or at the Stake Center in Monroe, Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah. On line guest book at: www.springerturner.com
