This is a reply to Jed Nieveen's letter on Idol "worship" (Readers' Forum, May 12). Every time I pick up the paper, I see gloom and doom articles. I, for one, am tired of reading about murders and all of the sex offenders. They belong on Page 3. How refreshing it is to pick up the paper and read about a young man from Utah who is making us all proud. This kind of "Idol" is not the same as worshipping a false god. The Constitution is unraveling more every day, and it will soon be hanging by a thread. So let us have some joy in our lives as we listen to David Archuleta sing in that sweet voice, then thank him for being an example to us all, especially our young people.
