EnergySolutions Inc. posted $19.3 million in net income for the first quarter, or $0.22 per share.
That compared with a loss of $10.3 million for the same period last year, the company said in a news release Monday.
"All of our business segments performed well during the quarter," said EnergySolutions Chief Executive Officer Steve Creamer. "We see this strong first quarter largely as a shift in timing of some of our commercial business rather than any change from our original full-year expectations."

Revenues for the quarter were $502 million, compared with $114 million for the same quarter in 2007.
