SPANISH FORK — A 21-year-old man was transported by air ambulance after rolling his vehicle in Spanish Fork Canyon early Tuesday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden said the man was driving east on U.S. 6 in the canyon around 8:19 a.m. when he lost control of his blue Chevy pickup, which rolled. The truck knocked down a power line, and the man was ejected from the vehicle. Roden said the man was not wearing his seat belt.
The man was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with head trauma and other injuries, Roden said.
The rollover knocked out power for a while, Roden said, but Rocky Mountain Power crews were able to restore it later in the day.
Roden said they are still uncertain what exactly caused the driver to lose control.
