E. Lucille Vegal Perkins

1925 ~ 2008

Mom gently closed her eyes and started a new journey on May 11, 2008, on Mother's Day. Lucille was born May 29, 1925 to Earl W. Vegal and Bernice Woodward in Fallen, NV. She married her sweetheart Eldon W. Perkins in Ely, NV., December 18, 1941. Mom was a loving, giving person that put others welfare before her own. Her whole life was one of sacrifice and love for her family. Some of her fondest memories were of traveling and camping with Eldon in their Model "A" Ford pulling their homemade trailer "Dinky".

She worked for Hotel Temple Square for 10 years and then for the Utah Blind Center for 18 years before retiring. Mom made countless friends wherever she went.

Survived by her children, Tonya (Gerald) Rich, Melba (Jerry) Dalton and Bill (Wendy) Perkins. She leaves a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert and Floyd, husband, Eldon and "daughter Julie. A gentle wind blew cross the land Reaching out to take a hand

For on the winds the angels came Calling out a mother's name
