Janice Prestwich Turner

1951 ~ 2008

Janice Marie Prestwich Turner was taken home to her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2008 due to complications of surgery. She was born May 30, 1951 to Edgar V. and Nina Luke Prestwich in San Francisco, CA. Married Larry E. Turner, later sealed in the Bountiful Temple.

Jan was first attendant to Miss North Salt Lake in 1969; received a BS in home economics from USU. She was responsible for serving over a million meals to Davis School District children whom she loved. She worked at several area schools including Boulton Elem. and Millcreek Jr. High. She served in leadership positions in the school lunch program and in the LDS Church including primary president. She faithfully served in spite of being in pain from arthritis, lymphedema and Graves disease.

Jan was excellent at penmanship, organization, sewing, cooking, home making, working and loving. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling and dearly loved those friends.

Her smile brightened every room she entered. We will miss her quick wit, and generous loving spirit. Jan spent many, many hours in selfless, charitable service to family and friend alike. Everyone felt like they were her favorite and she loved them the (bestest).

Just as we are agonzing over losing her, there are others rejoicing over her return, her beloved husband, dear father, Prestwiches, Lukes and Turners.

Survived by her mother; son, Brent (Cassi) Turner; other children, Teri (Ray) Chesnut, Duane (Heidi)
