Roberta Knirr Eastman

Roberta Irene Knirr Eastman, 88, died May 10, 2008 in Ivins, Utah. Born May 7, 1920 in St. Louis, MO to Paul Henry and Veronica Kleimann Knirr. She married Bert Galloway Eastman on Feb. 6, 1942 in Houston, TX; later sealed in the Mesa, Arizona L.D.S. Temple. He died Aug. 26, 1985. They lived in Houston and Austin, TX, moving to Kanarraville, Utah in 1968.

Roberta retired as secretary for the L.D.S. Social Services Agency in Cedar City, Utah. She fed many missionaries and others in her days on the earth.

She is survived by her two daughters, Anne (Terry) Sproat of Orem, Utah and Ellen (Jeffrey) Williams of Ivins, Utah; her twin brother, Robert (Winnie) Knirr of Humboldt, TN; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Kanarraville L.D.S. Ward Chapel. Visitation: 10:00- 10:45 a.m. at the Church on Friday. Interment: Kanarraville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the L.D.S. Church Missionary Fund. Directors: Metcalf Mortuary.
