Sally Howe Rosenblatt, a woman of incredible beauty, died peacefully Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Salt Lake City. She had been residing in Rancho Mirage, California, for the past six months.Sally was born January 14, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Alice Sarah Day and Charles Fletcher Howe. She attended Uinta, Roosevelt and East High Schools. She had a wonderful childhood with her favorite cousins, Joyce and Carolyn Crawford, Vic Day and Richard Cheney.

She was a student at the University of Utah where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta. She entertained her college friends with her lovely voice and she developed a fabulous talent as an artist. Later she had many one-man shows of her watercolors in Salt Lake City and Park City at the Kimball Art Center. After the University, Sally worked with Gilham Advertising Agency and United Airlines both in Salt Lake and New York City.

Barney Rosenblatt and Sally were married April 23, 1957 and together they had three sons. They loved to travel and Sally's favorite city was Paris. They also spent many special times in New York City and Carmel, California. Sally loved a party and especially good jazz. She had many dear and wonderful friends, especially the Thursday Tennis Group. She was always dressed to perfection hair in place, and careful attention paid to every detail. Every eye turned to her when she walked into a room. Sally was a member of the Salt Lake Country Club, Town Club and the Springs Country Club of Rancho Mirage. She participated in many community art exhibits, gladly donating her beautiful watercolors for charity.

Her parents and her sister Allie preceded Sally in death. Her husband Barney passed away on July 4th 2004 and Sally passed away on Mother's Day. She was surrounded by her three sons, Stacy, Jeffrey, Brock, his Fiancée' Margie and her precious dog Pepi (Peppy).

The family wishes to thank everyone at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, for their tireless efforts to help Sally with her ailments, especially Charles Schaefer, M.D. for all of his undivided attention. To Gina, Jeni and the entire CareSource family, for making Sally comfortable, for being so thoughtful and giving during her last days, and so helpful to the family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16th at 11 a.m. at Evans and Early, 574 E. 100 S., Salt Lake City, Utah, where friends may call from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Sally's memory to the Nancy Rosenblatt Art Scholarship Fund (c/o Western National Trust, One South Main Street , 12th Floor, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111), to KUER 90.1 Night Time Jazz w/Steve Williams (101 S.
