Together Again Forever

Our loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away May 11, 2008 in Sandy, Utah. Adolph was a very warm, loving and sincere person and will be missed terribly by everyone who knew him.Born September 20, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Erich Reich and Helen Hollinderbaumer. Employed as a Chef at Hotel Utah for four years before enlisting in the Navy September 21, 1941 and served as ship's cook. Adolph was on duty at Pearl Harbor on the fateful day of December 7. While serving in the Navy, Adolph met Rosalyn Emily Schmeltekopf and they were married on August 25, 1943 in Seattle, Washington; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 26, 1967.

Adolph continued to be a chef until 1956 when he became Film Editor for KTVT, Channel 4. He retired from Channel 4 in 1990.

He had a passion for old movies and memorabilia.

Survived by his three children, Rose Marie Anthony, Christine Carol Scott and Adolph H. Reich, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Nelson, Marlene Fritz, Helen Hermansen and Viola Holman; and brothers, Clifford, Hyrum and David. Predeceased by wife, Rosalyn Emily; mother and father, Erich and Helen Reich; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, Utah. The viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared with family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
