WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal jury has found an Afghan enemy combatant guilty of drug charges in what the Justice Department calls the first convictions under new narco-terrorism laws.
Prosecutors say heroin dealer Khan Mohammed also was an arms trafficker who targeted Afghans and U.S. personnel in Afghanistan. He was held as an enemy combatant before he agreed in 2006 to face trial in the United States.
