WEST VALLEY CITY — Police from several agencies Monday were continuing their investigation into a series of robberies late last week that appeared to be connected.
Early Friday, three men entered Burger King, near 5600 West and 3500 South, about 12:40 a.m. One man displayed a handgun and told the employees to go into a back room, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the cash register before the men ran off.
About 15 minutes later, three men with similar descriptions robbed a 7-11 store in Salt Lake City, McLachlan said. Between 30 to 45 minutes later, a convenience store in West Jordan was robbed followed by another in South Salt Lake.
The suspect descriptions in each case were similar, he said. The men all wore dark hoodies with red bandanas over their faces. Anyone with information can call police at 840-4000.
