A 34-year-old Murray man was charged with multiple felonies, including two counts of aggravated assault, stemming from allegations that he, along with two others, beat and stabbed two men Sunday after an argument in the man's apartment.

According to an affidavit filed in 3rd District Court, police officers arrived at the scene of the altercation to find one victim unconscious and "lying in a pool of blood" with stab wounds on his chest, back, nose and hand.

The court document also stated that the other victim had a large cut on his head.

Officers state in the affidavit that the suspect was on his balcony holding an 11-inch knife when they arrived, "hurled a bottle of beer" at them and threatened that he had a gun.

After forcibly entering the suspect's apartment, officers said the man approached them with a knife and had to be subdued with a Taser, and, after being arrested, continued to be physically violent and head-butted one officer as he was being shackled.

The man is being held in Salt Lake County jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
