Nona S. Knorr

1913 ~ 2008

Nona Stutznegger Knorr died peacefully at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah April 30, 2008. She was born May 22, 1913 to Conrad and Mary Hoggan Stutznegger in Salt Lake City. Nona married Walter Knorr June 29, 1938 in the Manti Temple. She was the wonderful mother of five children. She was a graduate of LDS High School and the University of Utah, where she earned a B.S. in

elementary education. She loved children and taught school many years, retiring from the Salt Lake School District. Nona loved her

family, the LDS Church, education, music and travel. She was a perpetual optimist and offered kind service whenever needed. She served an LDS mission to Des Moines, Iowa.

Nona was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Knorr, parents, and brothers, Morvin, Rex and Orin Stutznegger.

She is survived by sons, Evron (Kathleen), Kenton (Diane), Randall (Betty), and daughters, Cheryl

(Nathaniel) Mitchell, and Yvonne Mitzi (Douglas) Mitchell; by 26 grandchildren; and 59 great-grandchildren.

Viewing: Tuesday, May 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive. Funeral Wednesday, May 7 at 12 noon with a viewing from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Imperial 2nd Ward, 2738 S. Fillmore (1537 East), Salt Lake City.
