Audrey Duke Campbell

BOUNTIFUL- Audrey Duke

Campbell, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed peacefully away into her Heavenly Father's arms on Wed., May 7, 2008. She was 94 years old.

Audrey was born July 9, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John James Duke and Marie Hamilton Duke.

Audrey was the youngest of four children and had fond memories of growing up in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. She enjoyed ice-skating and playing tennis at Liberty Park. She graduated from West High School and went on to work for Mountain Bell Telephone Co.

Audrey met her eternal sweetheart, Clyde W. Campbell, while attending a church dance. They were married July 15, 1933 and sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were blessed with five children.

Audrey was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fulfilling many callings in both ward and stake leadership positions. Some of her fondest memories were those of serving in these church callings. Audrey served a mission with her husband in the Alaska Juno Mission. She spent her life in service to others, leaving her family with a legacy of faith and testimony.

Audrey loved to garden, crochet, bowl, make ceramics, read and tole-paint. She spent hours cooking and planning for family activities and reunions. In her family's eyes, she was the best when it came to planning and performing skits at these marvelous reunions.

Audrey is survived by four of her children who will greatly miss her, Julene Marie Anderson, Linda Lillian Eversole (Len), Joel William
