It appears that my friend, Don Gale, occasionally goes off his meds and misuses his editorial privilege to attack America and the Bush administration. He calls the war on terrorism a "tragedy, a war against humanity, a war against common sense and a war against goodness."
Against goodness? Mr. Gale is delusional. He does not once mention in his article the fact that we were attacked on 9/11 and more than 3,000 innocents were killed. He does not mention the eliminating of Saddam Hussein and his rape rooms and torture bunkers. He does not mention that we have not been attacked on our soil since we took the fight to bin Laden in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He suggests life would be wonderful in Iraq except for President Bush's blunders and America's abuses.
He is in denial about the reality of terrorism. Liberals, like Gale, who are invested in defeat and who have a forum on a regular basis in a prominent newspaper, continue to be so shortsighted they do not realize we are in a battle for our very existence.
