Gloria Kay Basinger Apgood

Will Be Missed

Gloria Apgood, wife and life-long soulmate and gift to Bill Apgood, mother of two, grandmother of six and sister to four was set free on June 13, 2008 after an 11 year valiant battle. Born in Salt Lake City to Earl and Marie Basinger, married the love of her life William "Bill" Apgood. Their life together was full of love, companionship, adventure and family. She was an accomplished real estate broker, and designer of homes in Park City, Salt Lake and Southern California. Her accomplishments were many but none more important and cherished than her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; their loving children, Bill II (Amie) and Shawn Winder (Jim); grandchildren, Berkley, Braxton, Ashton, Asia, Alexandria and Atticus; brother, Ron Basinger (Bev); sisters, Donna Sorensen-Kane, Janet Hansen; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father, sister, Janiel, nephews, Tommy and Randy, and her daughter-in-law, Lisa.

Her graceful presence, vivacious personality, humble spirit and electric smile were a force to be reckoned with. Soul mate and companion to her husband, Bill since the seventh grade they embarked on the adventure of life together for the past 50 years this month. Although her life was too short, she made the best of every day. An amazing mother to her children and grandmother of six she always had something to give, a hug, kiss or whispered I love you.

Mom you have been set free and it is now time for you to soar. Spread your wings and continue on your adventure for we will meet again. You will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. We love you.

Funeral Services will be held Wed., June 18th at 11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy. Private interment in Fielding, UT.

Thank you to all who assisted with our mom's care in transition and especially to Silvia Melendez for her unbelievable patience and sincere devotion she provided to our mom over the past several years, she will never be forgotten.
