Reed Guy Youngdell
1936 ~ 2008
Our father, Reed Guy Youngdell, passed away in the early morning hours of June 13, 2008, following a recent diagnosis of lung cancer.
Reed was born on June 16, 1936 to Arthur and Nora Heaps Youngdell. He married Annona Jean Ledingham on January 10, 1956. They are the parents of five children. Later divorced. He and Suzie were married on December 7, 1984.
As a young man, Reed served in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Korea at the end of the Korean conflict. Dad loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter, with a talent for archery.
He owned his own painting business for many years in Bountiful, Utah before relocating to Keno, Oregon where he and Suzie owned and operated Suzie's Archery in Keno and Klamath Falls.
Survived by his wife, Suzie and his children, Lori (Jim) Hamby, Lee Ann (Darrell) McKinnon, Lisa (Darryl) Gandy, Guy (Linda) Youngdell, George (Carmen) Youngdell; 15 grandchildren and four great-grand daughters with two great-grandchildren on the way. Also by his brother, Larry Youngdell; sisters, Linda Wilson and JoAnn Lay and many nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, LaVal; sisters, Beverly and Ardith; and half-sisters, LaVere (Tess) and Betty.
At Dad's request, gravesite services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Keno Cemetery.
