Dale Joseph Tyler
1929 ~ 2008
Our beloved father, Dale Joseph Tyler is now in heaven with our mother, where his love for her is complete. He was born Sept. 2, 1929 to Dorus Harvey Tyler and Lenora Sarah Christine Davidson Tyler in Pocatello, Idaho the 7th child of 10. He died June 16, 2008 in West Valley City, Utah of heart failure.His Naval service was from 1948 to 1951 and 1957 to 1959. Dale served an LDS mission to New England States, 1951 to 1953. His father, Harvey, died while he was there. He married Nea Jane Allen on Sept. 30, 1954 in the Logan Temple.
He worked in Idaho and Utah as a welder. Dale and Nea had nine children. Dale enjoyed reading and being with his family.
He is preceded in death by wife, Nea; his parents, Harvey and Lenora; brothers, Reed and Raymon; sister, Doris Pitcher; sisters-in-law, Genee, Loraine, and Margaret Tyler; and brother-in-law, Val Pitcher.
He is survived by sisters, Louise (Winston) McOmber, Salt Lake; Ruth Christiansen, Pocatello; Rosella (Ron) Boman, Guatamala; brothers, Lynn, Ted, Glenn (Loa) Tyler; and sister-in-law, Tina Tyler, all of Pocatello; his children, Christine Ricks, Magna; Cynthia Hubbard, Riverton; Joe (Tammy), Tooele; Kirk (Carolyn), Provo; Bryce (Sharon), Tooele; Nancy (Paul) Schultz, Tooele; Roger (Michelle), Murray; Garth (Heather), Stansbury Park; Vance (Dora), Stansbury Park; 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Viewing will be at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State St in Murray on Friday, June 20th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the LDS Chapel located at 5600 S & Vine St. (700 E) at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 21st with a viewing from 11-11:45 a.m. Burial, Murray City Cemetery.
