William "Bill" L. Thomas

William Thomas, 69, passed away on June 14, 2008.He was born on December 9, 1938 in Salt Lake City to William F. and Vuela Green Thomas. Bill graduated from East High School and then completed a Bachelor's Degree in Art at the University of Utah. He married Janet Waddell of Rexburg, ID and together they had a daughter,

Jennifer. They were later divorced, but always remained close friends.

Bill was an avid fisherman and loved to read. He enjoyed duck hunting, spending time in the outdoors, and fishing with his daughter. He especially looked forward to their annual trip to the Ranch in Alta, Wyoming. Bill was an expert at tying flies, and he supplied flies to several shops in town as well as the Teton Valley Lodge in Driggs, ID. He touched many lives and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by Janet Thomas and their daughter, Jennifer; his brother, Tim Thomas and his extended family; step-mother, Margaret Thomas; as well as his extended Waddell and Green family in Idaho and Wyoming.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 2 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., where friends and family are welcome to visit one hour prior to the services. Bill will be buried in the Alta, Wyoming Cemetery on Sunday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers Bill's daughter suggests donations to the "Friends of the Teton River" P.O. Bill will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all of his fishing buddies.
