William W. Osborn

William Wallace Osborn, (93), died of natural causes on June 13, 2008.He was born July 4, 1914 in Salt Lake City to William W. Osborn, Sr., and Alice Hamlin. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1925. While there he met and married Margaret Parry on April 25, 1936, in Huntington Park, California. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple April 20, 1937. Bill and Margaret moved to Salt Lake in 1943.

He is survived by his dear wife, Margaret; and their four children, Susan (Larry) Birch and Paul (Elise) Osborn, of Salt Lake; and W.

Wallace (Ann) Osborn and George (Sunya) Osborn, of Spanish Fork, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Charles H.

Osborn of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Julia; and three brothers, Lynn H., David H., and Spencer H. Osborn.

Bill was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities including Bishop of Parleys 6th Ward.

He was the founder and president of Osborn Apparel Manufacturing Company and also Utah Sportswear, Inc. He served on a legislative committee dealing with Workman's Compensation for 15 years and on the Utah Safety Council.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19th, 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood Acres Ward, 981 Revere Circle (approximately 5555 S). A viewing will be held on Wed., June 18th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive and one hour prior to the service at Cottonwood Acres Ward.
