As seemingly honorable as your writer Doug Robinson thought he was when he wrote "Celebs long on advice, not smarts" (June 17), he actually comes across as snobbish.
It is all well that he decides to play the "Hollywood liberals push their agenda on a society who doesn't relate to them" card. But what Robinson doesn't realize is that millions of ordinary Americans agreed with John Cusack's comments before he even made them. Why doesn't Robinson make similar accusations toward corporations for funding campaigns and think tanks that represent their interest and not the public's? Instead, he falls into the same partisan trap he accuses Hollywood of being in and appears to be nothing more than a cynical and bitter writer.
