"Sweetheart Forever"

Phyllis June Peterson Barlow passed away on June 5, 2008. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. How she lived her life was as beautiful as she was.Born February 15, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Joseph and Iona

Peterson. She graduated from East High School. She married Anthony H. (Tony) Barlow on June 22, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Tony always called her "his sweetheart forever." Theirs was a beautiful love story. Phyllis had a most compassionate heart. She gave such caring and love to all who had the blessing of

knowing her. She had a profound, enduring faith in Jesus Christ. She cherished her membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served in many callings, and enjoyed researching genealogy. She loved her family so very much and was a great friend to so many. She had a gifted sense of humor and her laughter brought joy to others.

She is survived by her eternal

companion, Tony; her daughter, Christine Nielsen (Scott); her son,

Michael A. Barlow; and her son,

Stephen E. Barlow, all of Cottonwood Heights, UT. Phyllis is also

survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her two brothers, George Clarence Peterson and Robert Glen Peterson.

Funeral services will be held

Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 12 noon at the Brighton 5th Ward, 2561 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South). Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd., Monday evening 6-8 p.m. and at the Ward, Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City
