The Robert Allen Institute and Trump University have run full-page ads in the two local newspapers claiming you can become wealthy in the real-estate market today. They say Utah has had 10,725 foreclosures and nationally there are more than 623,000 bank-owned properties. With no or little experience and money, one can become wealthy by buying houses, apartments and office buildings now.
This brings back the "carpetbaggers" of the Great Depression and in the aftermath of the Civil War. You, too, can take advantage of people in distressed circumstances. You, too, can learn how to be a modern "carpetbagger."
