Most people can remember a great teacher who changed their lives forever. How do you invite inspired teaching? There are two basic rules. One is a "don't" and the other is a "do:" First, don't try to standardize or make students alike in knowledge and skills. It's impossible to do. Second, nurture student variety, with love and respect for each person. You will find your ultimate satisfaction in helping students discover their individual greatness. Aim for, look for and draw out the best in each unique child. In so doing, you will draw out the best that is in you.
