ESPN recently released rankings for the top 150 football players in the Class of 2009, which included two Utah standouts.

John Martinez, Cottonwood, was ranked No. 31 and Xavier Su'a Filo, Timpview, was ranked at No. 52. Both are offensive linemen and both are being recruited by many of the same schools, including USC and LSU. Su'a Filo is also interested in Stanford, while Martinez is also considering UCLA and Ohio State.

Neither will commit until they take campus visits later this fall.

Of the top five recruits in the country, three have committed to colleges. Top-ranked Matt Barkley will play for the University of Southern California; Russell Shepard, No. 2, will play for Louisiana State; and No. 3 Aaron Murray, a quarterback from Florida, will play for Georgia.
