EPHRAIM — Police here have arrested a teenager in a bizarre series of home trespassings where police said the youth was naked.
Just before midnight on July 29, police were called to a home where a young man had walked in and was lying on a floor, moaning. The homeowner tried to talk to the teen, but found him too intoxicated to even respond.
"The complainant managed to get the suspect outside and went into the house to call police," the Ephraim Police Department said in a statement today. "When he went back outside, the subject had removed his clothing and walked away."
As officers arrived, another homeowner called to report a naked teenager lying face down at the bottom of a stairway.
"The owner of this home at first thought it to be his own son because he could only see the subject's feet," police said. "When he got to the subject, who was naked and laying face down, he realized it was not his son and called 911."
Officers tried to question the teen, who was unable to give his name and just moaned. The 17-year-old was taken to the Sanpete County Jail, and later referred to juvenile court on two counts of trespass, minor in possession of alcohol, public intoxication and lewdness.
