Rocky Mountain power reports that a pesky squirrel messing around with equipment at an Emigration Canyon substation caused the loss of power to about 6,100 customers shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Spokesman Jeff Hymas said all the customers affected were in the Emigration Canyon/east-bench area and electricity was completely restored shortly after 1 p.m.
