LEHI — Porter's Place, the western-styled restaurant that recalls some of the rougher days of early Utah, could expand into a pair of vacant spaces next to it on Main Street.
That's one of the ideas being bandied about tonight before the City Council in a precouncil meeting. The city bought three sites last year on the northwest corner of Main and Center streets and wants to revitalize them, city economic development director Doug Meldrum said.
The site next to Porter's is a former pawn shop, and the space next to that, on the corner, is uninhabitable. The city recently put out a request for proposals to gather suggestions on what to do with the property.
The council meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Lehi Legacy Center, 123 N. Center. The regular meeting follows at City Hall, 153 N. 100 East at 7 p.m.
