OGDEN — A woman who got lost while snowboarding at the Powder Mountain ski resort has been found safe.
Weber County sheriff's deputies said the 25-year-old Swedish woman was boarding with her friends on Wednesday at the resort when she became separated and eventually wandered about three miles outside resort boundaries. When she couldn't be found, authorities were called to help search for her.
About 3 a.m. Thursday, the woman came across searchers by following a helicopter.
"She just kept hiking and hiking and hiking as much as she could," Weber County sheriff's Sgt. Brandon Toll said Thursday. "They met each other."
