ZION NATIONAL PARK — Zion National Park may set a visitation record for 2008.

The park had more than 2.6 million visitors in the first 11 months of 2008.

The park needs visitation numbers of more than 51,733 in December to surpass the current record of just under 2.7 million visitors set in 2004.

Park spokesman Ron Terry says the park is on track to surpass the record.

Terry says the park does not yet have December visitation numbers.
