The Salt Lake City Police Department will conduct an administrative traffic checkpoint Friday.

The checkpoint will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and will end Saturday at 3 a.m. It will be set up in the westbound lanes of 400 South from 600 West to 750 West.

Officers will stop all vehicles. The stops should take about two minutes for most vehicles.

The department said the checkpoint is intended to improve driver safety by checking for valid registrations, proof of insurance, valid driver's licenses and detecting drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs.
