Black history:

February is Black History Month and I found this fascinating post that wonders if there is in

\"The Experiences of Black Mormons: a gap in Mormon letters?\" Includes

links about recent books, ongoing Web sites and more! And as a bonus, I

heard a lot about this movie in the Bloggernacle in this last year, so

click if you're interested in purchasing \"Nobody Knows: The Untold Story of Black Mormons.\"

Dinner groups: Like to cook, but not all the time? Or even if you hate to cook, maybe you need

\"Dinner Group Salvation.\" Click on over to find tips and experiences on what makes dinner groups work.

Or if you want more ideas, check out these two posts under the label

\"Dinner Groups.\"

More conferences:

Maybe it's the season but here are two more upcoming conferences. The first one is

\"For Those in the DC Area\" and is a lecture on February 22nd by Richard E. Turley, Jr., Assistant Church Historian and Recorder. The second excitedly declares that on February 28th

it's the

\"AML Conference! Terryl Givens! Did we mention it's free??\" at Utah Valley University. Cool!

Historical evolution:

I found this

\"Genesis and Geology: A Dialogue\" both fascinating and fun. It's a discussion between \"the viewpoint of Science and the viewpoint of Scripture\" and was published in 1874. Genesis concludes

with the argument \"I have sketched the outlines, you are filling in the figures.\" Cool!
