Church establishes official channels to share messages via YouTube
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has established official church channels on YouTube. "MormonMessages" and "MormonNewEraMessages" feature short video clips that teach gospel principles.
"This is just another way to help the Brethren share their message," said Jonathan Nelson, project manager for the LDS YouTube channels.
Video clips on MormonMessages include excerpts of messages from Elder L. Tom Perry, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve; and former church President Gordon B. Hinckley.
MormonNewEraMessages includes messages based on New Era MormonAds, such as "Wish You Were Here."
Additional video clips will be added periodically.

'Virtue' insert available online
The church has released additional instructions on how to incorporate "virtue" as a value in the Young Women Personal Progress program. The First Presidency announced the addition of the new value in a letter dated Nov. 28, 2008.
A special eight-page insert for Personal Progress books is available online at lds.org. A link can be accessed via MormonTimes.com by clicking on "Around the Church" and selecting "HQ / general authorities." The insert contains a scripture, motto, value experience and value project instructions, the color of the value and more.
