President Barack Obama missed a perfect opportunity today to show the country he understands the seriousness of our economic situation. He was in Chicago over the weekend, playing basketball with friends and getting a haircut at his old neighborhood barber shop. Wouldn't it have been more cost effective to have flown from Chicago to Denver for the historic signing rather than returning to Washington? It probably would have saved many thousands of dollars better spent in the economic climate. It would have sent a great message.
