Mark Russell: Afterthoughts

Iran's Ahmadinejad just had his inauguration, having won 137 percent of the vote with a margin of error of 1 percent.

In his inaugural address, Ahmadinejad pouted about the countries that did not congratulate him. Aw. What did he expect — Bill Clinton with a fruit basket?

During the ceremony a film highlighted Iran's scientific endeavors, including "the cloning of sheep," which could be code for "the nuking of Israel."

Our support for the brave protesters in Tehran seems a bit tepid. Hillary Clinton said, "We respect and admire the continued resistance." Which isn't exactly "we shall overcome."

It's more like, "We're with you 50 percent!"
